When painting plan to spend 90% of your time on preparation and 10% on painting. You will reap the rewards! Take time to test and choose your colours. If you decide on a new colour hue you may need to plan for a primer that helps bring your colour to life.
2. Make it clean
Paint won't stick to dirt, grease or grime. Your surface will require a thorough clean. Scrap and sand off any flaky paint. Wash down your surface with sugar soap - it works wonders!
3. Straight looks great!
Filling all cracks and make your surfaces straight. When painting walls your finish will look best on straight clean walls. Sand and putty where necessary to creat the best look possible.
